Encourage Impulse Buyers With Limited Time Offers

One technique that often encourages buyers to take an action to buy is to periodically throw in a “Limited Time Offer” action. Limited time offers are basically used in conjunction with a sales. A simple message on the page indicates time remaining before the offer expires. For example, “Only 2 days left!” or “Purchase by April 1st to take advantage of this low price”.

I came across this video today that was posted on one of my Twitter follower’s websites: MJ2 Marketing.

Notice that I said I found their website, via Twitter, and found this video embedded on their site via YouTube… lol… and some say Social Media does not work. Thanks to MJ2 Marketing for sharing this on their site. Pay close attention to the middle of the video when it has a few blurbs on ecommerce and how customers will buy products. Some of these stats are pretty eye opening!

Some people think that finding an online niche market is the “secret” behind your online store’s success. Having created and run a few online stores now, I have found that finding a successful niche is not the hard part. Niches are everywhere. Many think some special tool, or extravagant research is needed. It’s not. There is no secret behind finding a niche. Most niches can be found with free tools, simple internet browsing, and a little bit of time. Its the rest of the ecommerce business that contains the tough parts.

So what is a niche market?
