The Merchant Risk Council (MRC), a merchant-led trade association focused on electronic commerce risk and payment strategies, announced on March 10, 2010, the results of their annual Merchant Fraud Survey. The survey was conducted by surveying their top platinum members (200+ of the largest online retailers), so as you look at the survey findings, keep in mind that many of the these companies have pretty sophisticated fraud monitoring tools.

ComScore Inc. recently announced their its Q4 2009 U.S. retail e-commerce sales estimates which totaled approximately 39 Billion for fourth quarter 2009. This was up 3% over Q4 of the previous year. ComScore today released data showing that nearly 178 million U.S. Internet users watched online video during the month of December 2009. Online video viewing continued to reach record levels in December, with 33.2 billion videos viewed during the month.
