Website Grader And Measuring Your Marketing Effectiveness Of Your Website

I wanted to share a tool I frequently use called Website Grader. Website Grader is a free SEO tool that measures the marketing effectiveness of a website. It provides a score that incorporates things like website traffic, SEO, social popularity and other technical factors. It also provides some basic advice on how the website can be improved from a marketing perspective. One of the things I like about the tool is that it provides some pretty detailed information about your on page and off-page SEO activities.

Backlinking is a marketing strategy where you ask other sites to link to yours in the hopes to gain traffic to your website. In e-commerce, you have have to be careful what sites link to yours. Backlinking should not be your primary marketing strategy. Creating a great store, with great content, and building your reputation in your chosen niche should be first as well as any on-page SEO strategies. These strategies you have control over. Google Caffeine: Another Major Upgrade To Google’s Search Engine

There has been a lot of buzz lately regarding Google’s newest version of its search engine, dubbed Caffeine.   Rather than a change in the look and feel, which is to stay the same, the focus is on its indexing, speed and algorithm…a complete infrastructure redo.

Those who had tried it while in beta have said the speed is lightning fast, on average nearly twice the speed of the original Google, moving in real time (helpful for up to the minute news).  It is also reported to be keyword/phrase-oriented and have a more robust indexing, meaning more results of relevance during a search.
