Having an idea of what you want your website to look like in advance will save you time and money when you hire an ecommerce web designer. Wireframes are an easy way to communicate site layout ideas to your designer. The following diagram shows a very simple layout for a sample homepage. We have all seen them at one time or another. You visit a web site, and shortly after you arrive on the site, a window pops up offering you a chance to speak with a customer service representative. I am curious, how do you respond? Is it annoying, or were you glad that someone was there to answer your questions? They rate ecommerce vendors by putting them through an extensive evaluation process. Unlike some rankings, their researchers not only researched the companies themselves, but their clients. As always, when searching for a web design company, especially one for ecommerce, choose what fits your needs, and do your own research, don’t just take the words of independent rankings. However, having said that, check out the rankings and maybe you will find that company that is right for you.
