Think you know the demographics on the web? Did you know this. According to Graco:

1. 35 Million moms were online in 2008 (18% of the internet population)
2. 86% of moms go online regularly
3. Generation Y moms spend 8 hours online per week. (4 hours per week in social media)
4. 70% of moms online participate in online communities.
5. Moms are 21% more likely than the rest of the general online population to blog.
6. 60% of conversation among pregnant and new moms carries with it a recommendation to buy, try, or consider.

Do you think you can find a niche in this market? If so, you have some perfect potential customers based on their demographic activities.

    As a mom/consumer, I have seen this in action probably every possible way…this market is prime!

    For those selling products for families, children, convenience items or ‘mommy escapes’, word spreads like wildfire! They will be noticed, for better or worse.

    I agree. I wish I had a great idea for this market niche to capitalize on. But then I am not in that market either so I am not as familiar with it. I guess I will stay in Sporting Goods for now ;-)
