A bit early for Christmas, you say? Well, not exactly.
True to the ‘a season early’ form, companies are stocking up on new merchandise and consumers are taking a more serious look at their shopping lists. No doubt about it: everybody’s gearing up for the holidays! Preparing now can mean a lot of traffic and fewer items to clearance come January.
Most shoppers are looking to have a great holiday while strictly keeping their pocketbooks in check and are expected to be comparison shopping in record numbers this year. To see increased sales, make a point to cater to today’s frugal consumer by offering deals, discounts and coupons. If your product has a variety of uses, highlight this to give them more reason to buy from you.
This year’s forecast indicates that sales will be a lot like last year, so it’s safe to assume you may see a repeat. That’s not bad news if sales were good but, if they weren’t, it could make for an excellent opportunity to learn from last year’s mistakes. With a little planning and strategic marketing, you could have a very happy holiday indeed!
