I checked into Ebay ProStores, Yahoo Stores, Volusion and a bunch of other shopping cart providers. I found the best value to be with http://www.iHost.Net . It's only $14.95 per month and has all the features I need. Unlike OS Commerce, there is no software to install.

I am curious as to what types of systems you have in place to market to your customers. Do you keep track of your customers above and beyond, say an email marketing list? If so, what types of software do you use? Is it built in to your ecommerce platform? Or do you have a separate database? Do you even use it all?

I have found nothing is more powerful than when a repeat customer calls in, to not only be able to address them by name, but to be able to ask them how their last order (widget xyz) worked out for them. Getting a few seconds of feedback is always invaluable.

Thoughts?
