Thanks Shannon for your comments. I definately agree. As online SEO is usually the easiest, its the offline SEO that helps set you apart. Great insight on social media profiles as well. Its was something I have not thought much about until now.

When it comes to SEO I tell my clients that what they do off page is just as important as what they do ON page. Keywords in titles on blog articles, Press Releases, Facebook Fan Page Posts, and Twitter leads all help. So do keywords in social media profiles. Drop the empty language like: Mom, Dad to Johnny, and Out of the box thinker. They sound like PTA office election profiles and not business related social media profiles. Use your business name. Use your keywords. Add some location words if you are a brick and mortar. Think before you write and position yourself and your brand in a positive way that attracts the right type of search engine traffic to you and your business. The ROI comes when the phone rings and the door opens and people say, "I saw your special on Twitter...is it still on sale?" That is when you know your web presence is real and effective.
